Leopardrama's development slate is testament to a passion for distinct voices and authored pieces across four key areas: feature films; primetime series and serials; scripted-comedy and children's drama.
The film slate includes: Terence Davies' MOTHER OF SORROWS - an adaptation of Richard McCann's novel supported by the MEDIA Desk agency and DANNY LA RUE a biopic of the celebrated entertainer by Martyn Hesford, funded by the BFI. Leopardrama co-produced its first feature film THE HOLDING (Writer: James Dormer) directed by Susan Jacobson in autumn 2011 (released by Lionsgate).
Previous single films for television include the award-winning AN ENGLISHMAN IN NEW YORK/ITV1 (Writer: Brian Fillis) directed by Richard Laxton. Nominated for two BAFTAs in 2010, AN ENGLISHMAN IN NEW YORK saw John Hurt reprise his iconic role as Quentin Crisp. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival in 2009/10.
Leopardrama also produced MYSTERIOUS CREATURES/ITV1 (Writer: Gwyneth Hughes) directed by David Evans. Starring Brenda Blethyn and Timothy Spall, MYSTERIOUS CREATURES is a bold and unflinching study of two parents struggling to deal with their unstable daughter. In 2009 and 2010 Leopardrama created two series of crime drama MISSING for BBC1. MISSING is set around the investigations of a Missing Persons Unit in Dover and stars Pauline Quirke.
The Leopardrama TV slate currently has projects in development with all the major broadcasters.
